In 2001, Kyle worked as a Computer Based Training Specialist at Principal Financial Group. The following year, they joined Associated Computer Systems, Ltd. as a Business Development Executive.

In 2003, Kyle founded and co-owned GetOnDaBus.Com, LLC, a premium entertainment/transportation service. In 2016, Kyle joined UnityPoint Health as a Clinical Informatics Analyst. Kyle supported regional sites and organizations in meeting their development needs, planned and monitored system-level quality improvement activities, and attended educational offerings to improve knowledge and educate others.

The following year, Kyle joined WesleyLife as a Clinical Application Analyst. Kyle provided specialist advice, support, and training services for clinical Electronic Health Record applications and managed problem identification and analysis.

Currently, Kyle works at Mission Cancer + Blood as the Director of Information Technology. In this role, they oversee IT support, training, and onboarding for a large staff across multiple locations and remote sites. Kyle Haindfield has a diverse education history. Kyle started by obtaining a high school diploma from Decorah High School (Thomas Roberts) in 1999. Afterwards, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Des Moines Area Community College between 1999 and 2001. In 1998, Kyle engaged in high school continuing education focused on Computer Science at Northeast Iowa Community College. Later on, in 2013, they enrolled at the University of California, Davis, where they studied Health Informatics with a specialization in Public Health & Science until 2014. Finally, from 2016 to 2017, they attended the University of Iowa, focusing on Health/Human Studies.
