Valerie Miller is a highly experienced professional currently serving as a Senior Writer at Mission Control since May 2022. Previously, Valerie held the position of Executive Assistant to the Founding Partner at Ares Management, L.P., where responsibilities included supporting the partner in the Strategy & Relationship Management group and coordinating the Board of Ares Dynamic Credit Allocation Fund, Inc. Valerie's background also features volunteer coordination for Obama for America and a development instructor role in Mozambique. Valerie holds degrees in International Affairs with a focus on Development Studies from The George Washington University and an Associate of Arts in English from Cuyahoga Community College, alongside ongoing studies in screenwriting at UCLA.

Mission Control
Twenty-three years of breaking through the junk with creative mail that fits into smart communications strategies. Mission Control is the most successful direct mail firm working in Democratic politics today. Specialized in creative persuasion direct mail for Democratic campaigns, candidates, party committees, labor unions, and progressive advocacy organizations. In 2021, team MC helped Democrats regain control of the Senate working with the Ossoff campaign in Georgia. In 2018, we helped flip 19 House districts: Ten working directly with candidates (eight of whom were women) and nine with independent expenditures. In 2016, we did mail for eight of the nine congressional seats that Democrats flipped. In the past decade, we have helped elect dozens of governors, senators, and mayors, and over a hundred state legislators, from Hawaii to Maine. We help our clients win because we emphasize strategy, targeting, creativity, and messaging.
