Melanie Wetmore has over 26 years of healthcare experience, including sixteen years in nursing leadership roles. She has served as Chief Nursing Officer since May of 2018 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, Florida and has been with HCA for six years. She came to Bayonet Point from Oak Hill Hospital, where she served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to Oak Hill she was Director of Emergency Services at Memorial Hospital of Tampa. Melanie is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Brockport in Brockport, New York. She attained a Master of Science degree in Nursing Leadership from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida and has her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Walden University. Melanie is a Board Certified Emergency Nurse, a Certified Nurse Executive, and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.
