Ben Bissell

Ben Bissell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ben is currently the Director of Mission: Ignite, a position they have held since May 2019. In addition, they are the Founder of Impact Match Inc., starting in June 2022.

Before their current roles, Ben worked as a Nonprofit Consultant, running their own practice focused on leadership coaching, grant writing, and fundraising advisement. Ben provided coaching to the director of a community-based organization and guided a credit union on U.S.

Prior to that, Ben served as the Executive Director of Westminster Economic Development Initiative, a U.S. Treasury-certified community development financial institution. During their tenure, they were also the West Side Bazaar Manager and the Economic Development Director.

Ben's past experience includes various jobs at Wegmans Food Markets from June 2005 to September 2013. Ben also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University, a GIS Analyst Intern at NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, and a Mathematics Teaching Assistant/Tutor at Buffalo State College.

Furthermore, Ben has interned at the Mayor's Westside Business/Residential Resource Center and served as a Summer Missionary for the North American Mission Board.

Ben Bissell has a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo Graduate School, which they earned from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained another Master's degree in Regional Planning in International Development from Cornell University in 2011. Furthermore, Ben holds a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Analysis from Buffalo State University, which they completed with summa cum laude honors between 2007 and 2011.
