Katarina Sayally (she/her/they) is a teacher at Mission Kids. She has a bachelor's in Urban Education from Mills College and a Masters in Social Work from UC Berkeley.
Prior to joining the team at MK, her career focused on policy work to reform the child welfare system with the youngest children in mind. She also worked as a case manager for young children and families impacted by state systems and researched childhood trauma and healing extensively. With over five years of teaching experience at Kindercare, Early Headstart, and Mulberry Tree Preschool in Moraga, she is excited to jump back into the early childhood field.
Katarina grew up all around the Bay Area and comes from a Spanish-speaking family. She is practicing her Spanish and heavily incorporates it into the classroom culture and curriculum.
