Cyndee L. Nieves has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Cyndee L. started their career as an Associate Director at the Family Stress Center in 1994 and remained in that role until 2008. Following this, they joined the Center for Human Development as the Director of Special Projects, where they participated in strategic planning, grant writing, and supervised staff and volunteers. In 2009, Cyndee became a Program Director at BCFS, where they established and managed a staff-secure detention facility for unaccompanied immigrant children. Cyndee L. ensured compliance with federal and state requirements and coordinated various aspects of the services provided. In 2010, they joined Durham Early Head Start as a Family Services Manager, where they implemented family and community partnership services and managed the recruitment and enrollment of children. Finally, in 2014, Cyndee joined Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. as an Associate Director and later became the VP of Children's Services. In this role, they provided management and leadership, monitored program quality, developed and implemented goals and objectives for the Children's Services Division.
