Christopher Summers has over 20 years of work experience in the food safety and compliance industry. Christopher started their career in 1999 as a Microbiologist at Pure Produce, Inc. In 2008, they joined Dole Food Company as a Food Safety Specialist. In 2010, they joined Mission Produce Inc. as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst and gradually moved up the ranks, holding positions such as Global Food Safety and Compliance Manager, Director of Global Food Safety and Compliance, and Vice President of Food Safety. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Risk Management at Mission Produce Inc.

Christopher Summers obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from California Lutheran University, where they attended from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they studied Biology/Biological Sciences, General at Ventura County Community College District from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, Christopher has obtained several certifications in fields such as Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University in January 2022, HACCP Lead Instructor from the Grocery Manufacturers Association in October 2019, and various other certifications related to food safety and management.
