Chelsea Farnsworth, DVM, MBA has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Chelsea started their career as a Veterinary Assistant at Eastlake Veterinary Hospital, where they assisted doctors with exams and treatments, performed laboratory tests, and ensured the cleanliness of the hospital.

Chelsea then worked as a Veterinary Secretary at the WSU Chapter of VBMA and as the Herd Health Coordinator at the WSU Student Chapter of the AAEP, where they managed the care of teaching horses and organized wet labs while learning basic horsemanship skills.

During their time at the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Chelsea served as a Student Research Technician, performing various tasks on pony and Arabian foals, including endoscopic exams and physical assessments. Chelsea was also a Student Surgery Skills TA, teaching basic surgical skills to first-year veterinary students.

At the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chelsea worked as an Emergency Surgery Technician and a Student Equine Technician, assisting in surgeries, managing the surgery suite, and training new student technicians as needed.

At Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Chelsea served as a Large Animal Surgery Intern, working directly under DACVS/DACVSMR veterinarians. Chelsea assisted in surgical procedures, diagnosed out-patient cases, and managed in-patient cases, including post-operative colics and elective equine cases.

Most recently, Chelsea worked at Banfield Pet Hospital, starting as an Associate Veterinarian before being promoted to Chief of Staff and later as an Area Chief of Staff. Their responsibilities included overseeing medical staff, managing operations, and providing high-quality care to patients.

Currently, they are the Director of Medical Integration at Mission Veterinary Partners.

Chelsea Farnsworth, DVM, MBA, obtained their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In 2006, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Washington. After gaining experience in their veterinary field, Chelsea pursued further education and received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 2017 to 2019.
