Daniel Marquez, P.Eng., is a seasoned professional in control systems and automation with extensive experience across various prominent organizations. Currently serving as the Facilities Maintenance Manager at the City of Mississauga since April 2023, Daniel previously held the position of Operations Manager at Cadillac Fairview and served as an Automation Manager and Automation Engineer III at CertainTeed Corporation. Daniel’s expertise includes managing capital projects, designing and programming PLCs and HMIs, and troubleshooting control systems. Prior roles include significant contributions at Cenovus Energy and Syncrude Canada Ltd., where Daniel focused on alarm documentation, control system reliability, and mentoring. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Instituto Universitario Politecnico Santiago Marino.
