Donna Heslin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and higher education management. Currently serving as the Manager of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the City of Mississauga since May 2020, Donna leads the establishment of IDEA Mississauga, an entrepreneurship brand designed to foster economic development. Prior roles at the University of Toronto include Director of Graduate Programs & External Relations at the Institute for Management & Innovation, where Donna played a crucial role in program development and integration. Additionally, as the founder of ICUBE, an on-campus entrepreneurship hub, and through various roles in management and operations, Donna has significantly contributed to enhancing educational and professional opportunities in biotechnology and related fields. Donna holds a PhD in Leadership in Higher Education and multiple degrees from the University of Toronto and Carleton University, showcasing a solid academic foundation in biology, neuropathology, and sociology.
