Rob Trewartha has extensive experience in strategic communications and initiatives, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Communications and Initiatives for the City of Mississauga since December 2011. Previous roles include Director of Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff and Manager of Intergovernmental Affairs in the Mayor's Office, where Rob oversaw the transition of Mayor Bonnie Crombie and engaged community leaders for input. Rob's earlier experience includes serving as Director of Government Relations at Daisy Consulting Group, focusing on provincial government relations, as well as roles with the Ontario Government and Deb Matthews, MPP. Educational qualifications include a M.A. in Political Science from Queen's University, a course in Leading Economic Growth from Harvard Kennedy School, and ongoing studies for a Master's degree in Communication Management at McMaster University, among various other credentials in municipal leadership and political science.
