Bill Ashley

William J. Ashley, PhD has an extensive background in education and leadership roles within various community colleges. Currently, serving as the Director of Business Research, Workforce, & Energy at Mississippi Development Authority since June 2020, William previously held the position of President at Shelton State Community College and Vice-President for Student Affairs, Title IX Coordinator, & Director of Athletics at Southwest Mississippi Community College. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University, William has also chaired and participated in numerous committees and associations related to education and athletics. Additionally, William has experience as an instructor in business administration and economics at various institutions.
