Mississippi Park Connection
Jessica Miller is an accomplished professional in the field of entomology and environmental education, currently serving as the Director of Education and Outreach at Dragons Wynd since January 2017. With extensive experience in various organizations, Jessica has been involved in visitor services at Mississippi Park Connection and honed skills in native bee identification and insect collection management at the University of Minnesota. As a Certified Master Water Steward with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District and the Freshwater Society, Jessica has committed to ongoing volunteer service. Jessica's leadership roles include serving as a board member for Metro Blooms, where a dedication to sustainable landscapes is evident, and previously contributing to the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District as a Lab Tech and Inspector. Jessica holds a Master's of Science in Entomology and a Bachelor's of Science in Art History from the University of Minnesota.

Mississippi Park Connection
Our mission is to strengthen the enduring connection between people and the Mississippi River and build community support for the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, a national park that flows through the heart of the Twin Cities. Mississippi Park Connection has enabled the park to lead stewardship and education activities throughout the corridor, from wildlife monitoring to shoreline restoration to formal education. There are many effective organizations in the community that are dedicated to specific facets of the Mississippi River. The National Park Service provides the leadership to bring these organizations together to meet the common goals of increasing and better coordinating stewardship, restoration and education programs on the Mississippi River. By providing significant support to the park and its partners, Mississippi Park Connection boosts the activities of all organizations in the community --- increasing community engagement in the Mississippi River watershed.
