Carson Brown

Carson Brown is a seasoned professional in process engineering and management, currently serving as the Process Engineering and Controls Manager at Mississippi Power since January 2015. In this role, Carson manages over 50 team members, including process engineers and technicians, at the Kemper County IGCC site. Previously, Carson held the position of Process Engineering Supervisor at the same site and gained valuable experience at Southern Company as a Startup Engineer and Research Engineer, where responsibilities included overseeing various gasification systems and supporting equipment start-ups. Carson's career began at Georgia-Pacific LLC as a Process Engineer, focusing on energy management and quality control, and included a co-op position at International Paper. Carson holds an MBA in Project Management from Mississippi State University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
