Hafez Ahmad

Hafez Ahmad is a dedicated academic and research professional currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Mississippi State University's Department of Geosciences since January 2022, focusing on Maps and Remote Sensing. Pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Hafez is passionate about using innovative remote sensing technologies and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate water quality in the Mississippi Coastal region. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant with the U.S. Geological Survey, a Marine Data Management Officer with the Wildlife Conservation Society, and a Freelance GIS Data Analyst. Hafez has a robust educational background with a Master of Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Oceanography from the University of Chittagong, as well as participation in specialized programs at IPSL-Institut Pierre-Simon Laplace and Florida Gulf Coast University.
