James (Jim) Martin serves as the Associate Vice President for Corporate Engagement and Economic Development at Mississippi State University since December 2018. Prior to this role, Jim was a Partner at Kearney & Company from September 2017 to November 2018. Jim's extensive experience with the United States Air Force spans from 2006 to 2017, where various positions included Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Director of Budget Operations and Personnel, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Budget Programs and Integration. Notably, Jim managed substantial budgets totaling over $130 billion and advised high-ranking officials on financial strategies. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University and two Master's degrees in Strategic Studies and Management from Air University and Webster University, respectively.
