Kayla Pigott is an accomplished undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University, expected to graduate in May 2026. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and a BCoE Research Award Recipient at Mississippi State University, Kayla has also gained valuable industry experience at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. as a Battery Shop Planner, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional projects and developing value stream maps to enhance operational efficiency. Additional roles include serving on the Student Executive Board to foster intern engagement and launching a PowerApps-based Continuous Improvement application as a Body Shop Manpower Coordinator Co-Op. Previous experiences involved developing a digital tracking system presented to the CEO and authoring an Ergonomic Handbook to improve worker safety. Kayla has engaged in departmental initiatives as a Language Emissary, actively supporting curriculum development and organizing cultural events.
