Keith Coble

Keith Coble is the Vice President for Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. Keith has held this position since April 1993.

Previously, Keith Coble was a Graduate Fellow and Research Associate at Texas A&M University from August 1987 to April 1993. Keith then became the Team Leader at the USDA Economic Research Service from May 1993 to December 1997.

In January 1998, Keith Coble became an Associate Professor and Extension Economist in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Mississippi State University. Keith was promoted to Full Professor in 2003 and served as Department Head from 2007 to 2014. In July 2020, they became the President of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.

Keith Coble received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. Prior to that, they completed a B.S. in Agricultural Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

They are on a team with Joan Lucas - General Counsel, John Rush - Vice President for Development and Alumni, and Don Zant - Vice President for Finance & Administration and CFO. Keith Coble reports to Mark E. Keenum, President.
