Lou D'Abramo has extensive experience in academia, currently serving as the Graduate Dean and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs emeritus, as well as the Giles Distinguished Professor in the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture at Mississippi State University since April 2003. Prior to this role, Lou D'Abramo was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from November 2014 to June 2020 and a Professor in the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture from March 1984 to July 2013. Lou D'Abramo earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale University between 1974 and 1979.
