Michael Navicky

Michael Navicky serves as the Director of Research Computing at Mississippi State University since January 2021, where responsibilities include leading AI-driven research strategies and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions. In addition, Michael teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in parallel and distributed computing and previously held the role of Deputy Director of Research Computing, managing AI and HPC infrastructure. Michael's extensive experience with the United States Air Force spans two decades, culminating in leadership roles such as Commander of the 49 Communications Squadron and the 62d Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron. Michael's academic credentials include ongoing doctoral studies in Computer Science at Mississippi State University, a Master's in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and a Master's in Public Administration from Valdosta State University.
