Narcisa Pricope

Associate Vice President For Research at Mississippi State University

Narcisa Pricope, PhD, serves as the Associate Vice President for Research and Professor at Mississippi State University since September 2023. Currently, Narcisa is involved with the FAO as an Advisory Group Member, contributing to the annual publication "The State of Food and Agriculture." In addition, Narcisa leads the Expert Areas Functional Team at the NSF SECURE Center and serves as an Independent Scientist for the UNCCD Science-Policy Interface since February 2022. As the Founder and CEO of GeoNXS Solutions LLC since November 2019, Narcisa has also held various academic positions at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, including Director of the NSF-Funded Coastal UAS Observatory and Program Director for the FAA Collegiate Training Initiative and GEOINT Certificate Program. Narcisa's educational background includes a PhD in Geography and Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Geoscience from Western Kentucky University.
