David Strohmaier currently serves as the Chairman of the Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority and has been a County Commissioner for Missoula County since January 2017. Their previous experience includes roles as a Senior Project Historian at Historical Research Associates, Inc. and as a City Councilman for the City of Missoula. David's earlier positions involved working as a Public Comment Analyst and Forestry Technician - Fire Crew Supervisor with the US Forest Service, as well as serving as a Fire Station Manager with the Bureau of Land Management. David holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School, and a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Seattle Pacific University.
