Shantelle Gaynor

Director, Community Justice Department at Missoula County

Shantelle Gaynor has a diverse work experience in the field of community justice and relationship violence services. Starting in 2001, they worked as the Outreach Director at the University of Montana's Student Advocacy Resource Center. In 2004, they joined the Missoula City-County Crime Victim Advocate Program as the Rural Outreach Coordinator, where they provided programming, training, and advocacy services for victims of relationship and sexual violence in rural areas. Shantelle then moved to the Missoula City-County Department of Grants and Community Programs as the Division Manager and Senior Grants Administrator for Relationship Violence Services. In this role, Shantelle secured over $3 million in grant funds and led various initiatives to support victims, improve the criminal justice system response, and implement prevention programs. Currently, they are the Director of the Community Justice Department at Missoula County, where they oversee the department's operations and initiatives.

Shantelle Gaynor completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Montana, from 1997 to 2000. Shantelle later pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the same university, starting in 2013.
