David Mitchell

David Mitchell is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Since July 2013, David has served as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Missouri Department of Transportation. Prior to this role, David was an Assignment Manager and News Producer at KOLR/KOZL from 2002 to 2013, where David contributed to newsroom leadership and produced special news projects. David also has experience as a Managing Editor for two peer-reviewed journals at the American College of Forensic Examiners/American Psychotherapy Association, and as Director of Community Relations at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. Earlier in the career, David held various positions in news production and management at KYTV, KMIZ, and KQTV. David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas and attended Missouri Western State University for general education.
