Dwayne Proctor

Dwayne Proctor, Ph.D., serves as the President & CEO of the Missouri Foundation for Health since May 2021, following a distinguished tenure at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from January 2002 to May 2021, where key roles included Senior Adviser to the President for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, and Director of both the Achieving Health Equity Program Portfolio and the Childhood Obesity Program Portfolio. Proctor's expertise encompasses leading strategic initiatives to advance health equity, childhood obesity prevention, and effective communication strategies for public health initiatives. Earlier experience includes academic positions at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the University of Connecticut, along with formative work in stage and sound management for Ray Charles enterprises. Proctor holds a BA, MA, Ph.D., and Post-doctorate in Marketing Research & Communications Processes from the University of Connecticut and a degree from Virginia Tech.
