Samer Al Moubayed

Samer Al Moubayed has worked for a number of companies since 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they were the Founder and CEO of My New Home, a digital marketplace for residential properties in Syria, which was acquired by a major property developer. From 2005 to 2009, they were the Lead Speech-in-Games Developer for Spacetoon. From 2009 to 2016, they were an Advisor for Langofone. From 2016 to present, they have been the Affiliate Faculty at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and the Research Scientist at Walt Disney Imagineering. In 2022, they will become the CEO of Misty Robotics. In 2016, they became the CEO of Furhat Robotics, where they provide an intuitive, social way of interacting with the digital world to start conversations between people.

Samer Al Moubayed completed a PhD in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2012. Samer then completed a Masters in Global Management from Stockholm University between 2016 and 2017. Finally, they completed a Masters in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Speech and Language from KU Leuven between 2006 and 2007.
