Milind Pande

Pro Vice-Chancellor at MIT World Peace University

Dr. Milind Pande is currently working in the capacity of Pro-Vice Chancellor, at MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. A dedicated professional with 25 years of academic experience, he has travelled extensively across the world for Technology Transfers, International Tie-ups, Collaborations, and Faculty/Student exchange programmes.

Dr. Pande is one of the rare recipients of a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India on Telecom Technology Transfer. He has been relentlessly working towards realizing the dream of the former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on the Project, “Providing Urban Opportunities in Rural Areas” (PURA). He has co-authored a world-class textbook on Mobile Communications with a core focus on the Indian Telecom ecosystem. The book, entitled “Next Generation Mobile Communications – Mobile, Infra Technology, Management, and Data” is published by McGraw Hill Education. He serves as a member of TAC (Telecom Advisory Committee), BSNL Pune.

After Graduating in Engineering, Dr. Pande acquired Three Masters degrees: ME (Electronics), MBA (Marketing), and MPM (Personnel Management). He has two Doctorates (PhDs) to his credit, the first in International Trade and the second in Wireless Technology. Dr. Milind’s expertise lies in Research areas that include Technology Transfers, M-Education, M-Agriculture, M-Health, Smart Sensing Networks, and ICT Innovations. He has also played a vital role in the development of the prestigious international event, Robocon, since its inception in India, in 2005. At MITSOT, he has been at the helm of providing MOOCs (Massively Open Online Courses) and TSSC (Telecom Sector Skills Council) certifications to students.
