Prajakta Khanwalkar

Prajakta Khanwalkar is an accomplished professional in design and education, currently serving as the Head of the Product Design Program and Assistant Professor at MIT World Peace University since July 2020. As the Founder of Spark Design Studio, established in May 2008, Prajakta leads a multidisciplinary design and innovation consultancy dedicated to meaningful industrial design and visual communication. In addition to this role, Prajakta is a Core Committee Member of the Pune Chapter of the Association of Designers of India since September 2020, working to promote best practices and strengthen the design profession in India. Previous experience includes positions as an Industrial Design Consultant at Veol Medical Technologies and various faculty roles at prominent architecture colleges. Prajakta's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Design Education from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, alongside degrees in Industrial Design and Architecture from leading institutions.
