As a fresh graduate in computer technology, Jesmond Mizzi joined MITA, then known as Management Systems Unit Ltd, in July 1992. During his tenure in the software development arena he advanced from developing to project managing a number of high profile systems within the Public Registry, Courts of Justice, Finance, Social Security and Transport Programmes. In this period, he also spearheaded a number of ICT related reforms within these departments. During the period 2011-13 Jesmond worked in the private sector as consultant, client relations and project manager.
After reading for a Masters Degree in Creativity and Innovation with the University of Malta he re-joined MITA in 2013 as Business Planning manager. He moved to the role of HR Manager in 2014 where he oversaw and spearheaded several HR reforms within the Agency. In his new role as Senior Manager he is working towards transforming the Agency into an open and learning organisation that is incessantly looking at new and better ways to address change and the upcoming technological and HR challenges.
