Andrea Johnston

Andrea Johnston is an experienced public servant recognized for building high-performing teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Currently serving as an Executive Advisor at Mitacs and a board member for both the Institute of Public Administration Canada and the YMCA of the National Capital Region, they have a deep knowledge of Canada’s innovation ecosystem. Previously, they held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and worked as a Corporate Secretary at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Andrea is also a coach and mentor known for shaping culture and driving change.
