MITAS Medical is a Japan-based health technology company dedicated to making quality eye care accessible for everyone.
We develop and provide mobile ophthalmic devices and a teleconsultation platform that allow general practitioners, primary clinics, and optical shops to perform basic eye examinations and connect with ophthalmologists remotely.

Our flagship product — the MS1 Mobile Slit Lamp — is a smartphone-attachable diagnostic device that enables eye examinations anytime, anywhere. Combined with our cloud-based tele-ophthalmology system, it empowers healthcare providers to detect and manage common anterior eye diseases such as cataracts, dry eye, and infections without requiring an on-site specialist.

By equipping clinics with simple yet powerful tools, we aim to bridge the gap between patients and specialists, support early detection and referral, and strengthen primary eye care ecosystems in emerging and developed markets alike.

We currently operate in Japan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and other regions across Southeast Asia, working closely with clinics, hospitals, and distributors to expand access to high-quality, affordable eye care.
