Mark C. Gordon

Mark C. Gordon is an accomplished legal scholar and leader, currently serving as Professor of Law, President, and Dean at Mitchell Hamline School of Law since 2015. Previously, Mark held the position of President at The Defiance College from 2009 to 2015 and served as Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law from 2002 to 2009. Mark's academic career also includes a role as Associate Professor in the Practice of Public Affairs at Columbia University in the City of New York from 1996 to 2002. Mark's early professional experience includes serving as General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and practicing law as an Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. Mark completed a JD with magna cum laude honors at Harvard Law School, a Master's degree in International Affairs at Columbia University, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree from Columbia College, Columbia University.
