Alexander Haimin

Alexander Haimin is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Mitek Systems since December 2022, focusing on document detection, segmentation, and OCR technologies. Prior to this role, Alexander co-founded Directed Transport LLC, specializing in drug delivery solutions, while also developing hardware prototypes and algorithms. Experience includes positions as a Machine Learning Engineer at ID R&D and Computer Vision Architect at LeanTech AI, where Alexander contributed to Optical Character Recognition systems and detection models. Additionally, Alexander has a solid engineering background with roles in medical equipment maintenance at various organizations, including a state oncological hospital. Alexander holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in image processing from Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav-the-Wise.
