Laura Pettitt

Laura Pettitt, CPA, is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in various managerial roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Accounting at Mitek Systems since November 2019, Laura oversees month-end close responsibilities. Previously, as an Accounting Manager at Beacon Pointe Advisors from August 2017 to November 2019, Laura was responsible for the billing process for institutional and private clients nationwide. As a business owner of Pettitt Professional Accounting Services in 2017, Laura provided outsourced accounting and analysis services to financial advisors and investment managers. Prior roles include Income Tax Specialist at Liberty Group South Africa and Head of Tax & LISP Finance and Finance Manager at STANLIB, where Laura managed tax compliance for various entities. Laura holds a CPA from the California Board of Accountancy and has a strong educational background, including a CA (SA) from the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Post-graduate Certificate in Advanced Taxation from the University of Pretoria.
