Alexandra Athanasiou

Alexandra Athanasiou serves as the Head of the Breast Imaging Department at ΜΗΤΕΡΑ / Mitera Hospital since April 2014, following a prior role as Praticien Spécialiste Des CLCC at Institut Curie from December 2005 to October 2014. Alexandra gained experience as a Consultant Radiologist at Gustave Roussy between 2003 and 2005 and at Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades from 2002 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Residency in Radiology from the University of Crete, and a Master’s degree in Bio-Engineering from ESPCI Paris - PSL. Alexandra has also pursued executive education at CentraleSupélec and MIT Sloan Executive Education since 2018 and 2021, respectively.
