Nethma Hewavitharana

Nethma Hewavitharana is an experienced network and security engineer currently employed at MillenniumIT ESP in the Managed Infrastructure Services department since February 2025, managing firewalls for clients such as Allianz Life Insurance and South Asia Gateway Terminal. Prior to this role, Nethma worked at CryptoGen from September 2023 to February 2025 as a Junior Engineer in Cyber Security Operations, overseeing firewall management for Cargills Ceylon and contributing as a shift lead in the SOC team. Nethma has also served as a Cyber Security Analyst at the National Institute of Business Management in Sri Lanka earlier in 2023. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics from Kingston University, a Higher Diploma in Network Technology and Cybersecurity from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and a diploma in Computer Hardware and Network from Sri Lanka Youth - Dehiwala (VTC).
