Philippa Couttie

Philippa led Westminster City Council from 2012 to 2017. She joined the Council in 2006 and has previously served as Cabinet Member for Finance, Cabinet Member for Housing and Deputy Cabinet Member for Children’s Services. Philippa was also a member of the Polling and Digital Media Select Committee from 2017 to 2018.

Prior to progressing her career in public service, Philippa was a director at Citigroup following its takeover of Schroders, where she headed up its principal finance business. She was also previously Chief Executive of Cornerstone Communications. Philippa has served as a non-executive director on several boards since 2006, including Royal Parks and the London Local Enterprise Partnership. She was also previously Chair of the West End Partnership and Council Member of Imperial College, where she was also Chair of the Audit Committee.
