Kennedy T.

Kennedy T. has a diverse work experience. Kennedy started their career at Peculiar Technologies in 2003 as a Network Administrator. Kennedy then transitioned into the role of Information Security Analyst in 2010 and worked there until 2013.

In 2013, Kennedy T. joined the Hasso Plattner Institute as a Doctoral Candidate, where they focused on academic research and publications. Kennedy remained in this role until 2021.

In 2019, Kennedy T. became an Information Security Engineer at data4life (formerly Gesundheitscloud) and worked there until 2020.

Kennedy T. then joined Mattermost in 2020 as a Cloud Security Engineer, specializing in vulnerability management for container ecosystems. Kennedy 'sresponsibilities included using various tools such as Docker Bench Security and Trivy Container Security Scanner. Kennedy worked at Mattermost until 2021.

During their tenure at Mitigant in 2021, Kennedy T. held the role of Co-Founder & CTO. This involved co-founding the company as well as taking on technical responsibilities.

In the same year, Kennedy T. was also a Community Member at 2hearts.

Most recently, Kennedy T. worked as a Senior Cloud Security Researcher at Firebolt. In this role, they collaborated directly with the CISO, conducting research and analysis on cloud environments. Kennedy also provided guidance on security controls and infrastructure improvements.

Kennedy T. has a strong education background in cyber security. In 2006-2007, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University. They then pursued a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security from Lancaster University, completing it in 2011-2012. Their highest level of education is a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cyber Security, which they obtained from Hasso Plattner Institute between 2013 and 2023.

Kennedy T. has also obtained multiple certifications in various aspects of cyber security. These include certifications such as "AWS Certified Security Specialty" from A Cloud Guru in October 2020, "Certified Ethical Hacker" from EC-Council, and "Microsoft Certified Professional" from Microsoft. They have also completed several online courses and obtained certificates for topics such as "DevOps Foundations: Chaos Engineering" from LinkedIn in August 2020 and "Linux Fundamentals for Security Practitioners" from Cybrary in July 2021.
