Shaun Edwards

Shaun Edwards is the current CTO and co-founder of Plus One Robotics. Prior to this, they were a guest researcher at Willow Garage, where they developed ROS-Industrial (http://rosindustrial.swri.org). ROS-Industrial leverages the ROS software for industrial applications. Shaun has also worked as an adjunct professor at St. Mary's University, teaching a course in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) & Robotics.

Before joining Plus One Robotics, Shaun spent 11 years as a principal research engineer at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). In their time at SwRI, Shaun worked on a wide variety of industrial robotics and automation programs. Shaun's past projects include the design and programming of several distributed control systems and robotic workcells. Recently, Shaun served as the principal investigator for an internal research project focused on the use of the open source Robot Operating System (ROS) in industrial robot applications.

Shaun Edwards has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Shaun Edwards reports to Erik Nieves, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Paul Hvass - CSO & Co-founder, Robert Nilsson - CRO, and Peter Pixton - CFO. and Crystal Parrott - VP, Engineering reports to Shaun Edwards.
