Darryl Bareford

Darryl Bareford has a comprehensive work experience history, spanning over three decades. Darryl currently serves as the Sr. Director of Engineering at Mitratech, a role they have held since October 2020. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2020, they were associated with Acuity ELM® as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Software Development.

Before their tenure at Acuity ELM®, Darryl held the position of Director, IT Operations at Capario, Inc. from December 2008 to April 2013. In this role, they were responsible for various aspects of corporate infrastructure, including data centers, LAN/WAN infrastructure, telecommunications, and more. Darryl also played a pivotal role in implementing cost-effective technology solutions and establishing security governance accounting for HIPAA and PHI requirements.

During their career, Darryl also held positions at United Network for Organ Sharing as Assistant Director, Application Development, at Synigent Technologies as a Consultant, at Misys Healthcare Systems as Director, Revenue Cycle Management R&D, at Payerpath as Director, Technology, at iXL as Team Lead/Sr. Software Engineer, and at Empirical Software as a Sr. Software Engineer.

Throughout their work experience, Darryl has showcased expertise in various areas of technology, including software development, infrastructure management, and team leadership.

Darryl Bareford received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business, which they attended from 1986 to 1991. In addition, they obtained a Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2014.
