Guido Zarrella has an extensive background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Research Director (AI & Data) and AI Technical Fellow at MITRE Corporation since August 2001. In this role, Guido manages the development of large AI models on a flagship supercomputer, focusing on applications in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, tactical weather forecasting, and operational efficiency. Additionally, since October 2017, Guido has been the Director of the Institute of Neuromorphic Engineering, which promotes research at the intersection of neural cognition and machine intelligence and oversees the Telluride Neuromorphic Cognition Engineering Workshop series. Guido holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University and furthered education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
