Shane Trask is a Principal Data Scientist at MITRE since October 2016, bringing expertise from previous roles, including AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of State from September 2014 to September 2016, and Curator of the Sequence Read Archive at Computercraft Corporation from November 2012 to September 2014. Shane's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health from October 2008 to October 2012, and graduate studies at Harvard University from July 2003 to October 2008, culminating in a Ph.D. in Virology. Earlier education includes a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University, obtained from 1999 to 2003.
