Mitsch Design
Lucas Rice serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mitsch Design since January 2022. A retired Colonel from the U.S. Army, Lucas Rice has a distinguished military background as an AH-64 Instructor Pilot and has held various leadership roles including personnel, logistics, and operations. Prior to Mitsch Design, Lucas Rice was the EVP/COO at LDX Solutions, overseeing post-contract operations and strategic planning, and was also a Regional Manager at Burns and McDonnell, managing business development and construction for the Southeast Region. Additional experience includes positions at Middough/Facility Group, Xethanol Corporation, Paiva Fredricksen Group, and General Electric, focusing on operations, sales management, and quality initiatives. Lucas Rice holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from Emory University, and a degree in Strategic Leadership from The United States Army War College.

Founded by Jeryl Mitsch in 1989, the Certified Women-owned Business has completed award-winning projects locally and throughout the country in a variety of industries including Corporate, Multi-Family, Healthcare, Higher Education and Hospitality. The Mitsch Design team includes experienced NCIDQ designers & licensed architects, is large enough to handle projects of virtually any scope, and provide a broad range of services.
