Emmanouil Kakaras

Emmanouil Kakaras serves as the Executive Vice President of GX Solutions for EMEA and the Head of the Düsseldorf Branch at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries since April 2021. In addition, Emmanouil holds the position of Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Steam Boilers and Thermal Plants at the National Technical University of Athens, where involvement has been ongoing since 1991, with a part-time role established in 2014. Emmanouil is also the Director of the Chemical Process and Energy Resources Institute at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas since April 1999, and has served as Vice President and Head of Innovation & New Products at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH since September 2012, following a tenure as Senior Vice President at Mitsubishi Power Europe. Emmanouil Kakaras earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the National Technical University of Athens from 1985 to 1989.
