Maiko Okuno

Maiko Okuno has extensive work experience in various roles related to environmental and social responsibility. Maiko began their career as a Consultant at Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Co.,Ltd. in 2000, where they specialized in corporate strategic environmental policy, global management, reputation risk, and external communication management. Maiko also provided NGO/NPO partnership management consulting and conducted environmental policy comparison analysis between EU countries and Japan. In 2013, they became the Environmental and Social Action Programme Manager at the same company, a role they held until 2018. During this time, they managed programs related to sustainability initiatives. In 2017, they were promoted to Chief Analyst and later became the Head of the Center for Sustainable Business Strategy (CSBS) in 2019. In addition to their work at Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Co.,Ltd., Maiko Okuno served as a Lecturer at Fukushima University from May 2011 to March 2012.

Maiko Okuno's education history begins in 1986 when they attended a school called "桐蔭学園" for an undisclosed field of study. Maiko then went on to study at Hitotsubashi University for their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Sciences, completing the program between 1992 and 1998. Maiko continued their education at the same institution, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University between 1998 and 2000.
