MIX is the leading Italian Internet Exchange (IXP), essential for the efficient running of the Internet. Based in Milan, it was founded in 2000. It is a point of "multiple interconnection" to which the networks of Internet operators in Italy, both national or otherwise, connect to exchange IP traffic (peering) with each other, efficiently and at convenient costs.
