Ralph Duncan

VP, Analog & RF at Mixed-Signal Devices

Dr. Ralph Duncan received his B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., and Ph.D., all in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in Analog and Mixed-Signal circuit design. He initiated his career by designing ADCs and analog filters at Maxim Integrated Products. He then joined Broadcom as a Principal Scientist and was engaged in the design of Cable tuners and modems; satellite and set-top box receivers; cell phone radios; and 1-10 Gb/s Ethernet Physical Layer Devices.

Dr. Duncan became the Director of Analog Design at Mobius Semiconductor and developed multiple giga-sample transceivers for networking and defense companies. The development of a DBS outdoor unit led to the company’s acquisition by Entropic Communications, where Dr. Duncan became the Director of Analog and Mixed-Signal Design. At Entropic, Dr. Duncan led the design of the DBS front-end that included LNAs, 5.4GS/s ADCs, 10.8GS/s DACs and a 10.8GHz PLL.
