Eric (Chang) Hong

VP of Engineering at Mixel

Eric Hong has over 25 years of experience in the engineering field. Eric (Chang) started their career in 1993 as a Design Engineer at Intel Corporation. Eric (Chang) then moved to Waferscale Inc. in 1995 as a Design Engineer, where they were responsible for charge pumps (voltage booster) design for flash memory, flash, EEPROM, CPLD and SRAM circuit design, and CPU supervisory circuit design with battery switch, POR, ultra-low power oscillator, VCC sensor and bandgap circuit design. In 1998, they became a Project Manager at Virage Logic. Eric (Chang) then moved to Cirrus Logic in 1999 as a Design Manager. In 2000, they joined Azanda Network Devices as a Design Manager, where they were in charge of all circuit and signal integrity related activities, FA analysis and chip bring-up and ESD design, SPI, DDR and ZBT SSRAM interface design and system level timing analysis, and PLL/DLL design. In 2004, they became a Principal Engineer at Nvidia. In 2013, they moved to Samsung Electro-Mechanics as a Senior Director Of Engineering. Eric (Chang) then moved to eSilicon in 2015 as a Principal Design Engineer. Most recently, they joined Mixel, Inc. in 2018 as the VP of Engineering, and was later promoted to Senior Director Of Engineering.

Eric Hong attended Stanford University from 1994 to 1997, where they received their MS in Electrical Engineering (EE). Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1991 to 1993, where they received their BS in EE. Eric (Chang) also attended the UC Berkeley College of Engineering and the UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS).
