Alison Heard-Mayer

Alison Heard-Mayer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in the banking and financial industry. Alison is currently serving as the Director and Chief Operating Officer at Mizuho, where they have demonstrated expertise in conduct risk management and headcount management across multiple regions. Alison has also played a crucial role in operational process improvement, driving the development of streamlined procedures for enhanced efficiency.

Prior to their role at Mizuho, Alison held several positions at Lloyds Banking Group. As the Operations & Change Director for SME & Mid Corporates, they achieved operational service improvements by collaborating with product and delivery teams. Alison successfully managed the migration of clients to a new online banking platform and provided dynamic incident management support during the transition to a work-from-home setup.

Alison also served as the Director of Risk & Governance for Global Corporates at Lloyds Banking Group, where they led a team overseeing governance, operational risk, and conduct risk activities. Alison actively collaborated with senior stakeholders across the Group and spearheaded the enhancement of risk oversight and governance through the monthly Risk Committee program.

Throughout their career, Alison has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing diverse business and operational activities. Alison has also excelled in project management, training, client engagement, and relationship management.

Alison Heard-Mayer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies from Bayes Business School in the period of 1998 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Seven Kings High School in Essex from 1991 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Conduct Pathway from Finance Unlocked in 2022.
