Dick Smith

Dick Smith has a vast and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Dick started their career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1979 as Managing Director and Head of High Yield Sales and Trading. Dick then moved on to Dillon Read & Co. Inc, where they served as Head of Taxable Fixed Income from 1989 to 1997. After that, they joined SBC Warburg as the Global Head of High Yield from 1997 to 2000. Smith then worked at UBS as Managing Director, High Yield and Loan Capital Markets, focusing on the natural resources sector. Following their tenure at UBS, they joined RBS as Head of Leveraged Capital Markets and Financial Sponsor Coverage, Americas from 2006 to 2015. Currently, Smith is serving as the Managing Director and Head of Leveraged Capital Markets Americas at Mizuho, where they oversee origination of all non-investment grade products across all industries and sits on various management committees.
